We stopped off for lunch on the way to Norfolk & were so glad we did. The food & service were top class & they accommodated a cheeky 1yr old with absolute grace. We'll be back for sure. What a find. Thank you.

Having eaten there ourselves in the past, we decided on The Highwayman as the venue for my Grandmother’s surprise 80th birthday party. Despite 30 guests (plus the birthday girl!) the available menu was surprisingly wide, and the food on the day was simply outstanding. David was incredibly friendly, accommodating and helpful throughout, and the day really could not have gone any better. Thank you so much, and perhaps we’ll see you again for her 85th – and certainly before.

We found this inn on our way to holiday in Suffolk last September and what a find! The best meal that we have ever had, the service and welcome was wonderful. And the meal superb

Great food, great atmosphere, and great that you still recognised us on our regular trip from Norfolk to Sussex. How does Olga make that apple and cider sauce? Probably a secret recipe! We only live fifty miles away so should come more often. See you in a couple of months after we,ve had the plastic surgery!! Diolch yn fawr.

David & Olga. You are wonderful, whenever we visit you for an evening meal it is always superb. On Tuesday evening you may it so special by singing 'Happy Birthday' to our Aunt, she has told many people about her excellent meal and her evening at the Highwayman. Thankyou both for your kindness.

we finished work and went to the highwayman and we were very pleased with the beer and the atmosphere but nothing prepared us for the food that was to follow outstanding does not do the quality of the food justice. It was all we could talk about the next day in work. All I can say is that my taste buds were revelling in an orgy of delight. A must for all food lovers

Had a great meal and this was my second visit is as many weeks.
The menu is spot on and the cooking well above what you what you would expect in a pub resteraunt and probably up there with some of the best resteraunts I have eaten in. Olga is a superb chef and David is a great host. I will be back this week as I am staying at Hungercutt Hall for a couple of nights and they recomended the Highwayman to me.

we had our wedding day here on the 7th may 2011.the most wonderful day.olga,david and there staff looked after us and our 50 guests very well.one of the older members of our party were taken ill and this didnt ruin our day as david and olga had the day planned out and everything carried on nicely.everyone enjoyed our sit down dinner and the evening buffet was top class.it was just perfect.
